You can host your quiz on a custom domain, this is useful for example if you are setting up a Facebook Event.
To do so you will need to set up a CNAME DNS record with your domain registrar using the following format:
NAME: [the name of your sub domain, for example quiz]
TYPE: CNAME
VALUE: custom.quizitri.com
Please note: If you are a Convertri user with a custom domain setup via nameservers in Convertri you can add a record there. See here for details
Once the sub-domain has been configured in your registrar you will need to wait until the DNS has propagated which usually only takes 10-20 minutes but can take up to 24 hours.
Once that’s complete, Inside Quizitri in the left side menu, click on the ‘Domains’ tab, and Enter your sub-domain.
Format: quiz.yourdomainname.com
quiz - this is just an example, you will need to use the sub-domain NAME that you used in the CNAME record that you setup at your registrar.
yourdomainname.com - replace this with your domain name.
You will see the domain you added below the Domain List.
When your sub-domain has been added successfully, navigate to the quiz that you want to publish to your new custom domain.
Then click on the ‘Publish’ tab on the left side menu.
By default the domain is set to Host with Quizitri. Just click on the dropdown options to select the domain you want to host your quiz to and Hit ‘Publish’ . This will now publish your Quiz to the selected sub-domain.
NOTE: Changing domain will require unpublishing and then republishing the domain again.
